The Digital Cafe - Two Years On

 

Launched in November 2016, we’ve come a long way.

Two years ago this week we launched The Digital Café to offer big agency thinking and marketing expertise to SME’s.  

We went about building a business model to give the advantages that advertising agencies offer: independent advice, media planning, content ideas, customisation; while removing many of the costly overheads that agencies incur. We focused on the social and digital channels that consumers have embraced, yet many companies weren’t as equipped to exploit. 

We wanted to offer 3rd and 4th year University marketing students valuable and relevant work experience, and we wanted to them to be properly paid for their efforts.

To date, we have worked with over 100 clients.  They include companies that are in the business services, travel, food, property, technology sectors; rural and retail businesses; and several social enterprises.  We have witnessed so many successful examples of clients being rewarded through their investments in Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn and many other digital media channels. 

We’ve built a substantial database of social media and advertising effectiveness. 

In two years, we now have a terrific team comprising 8 staff alongside an impressive village of partners.  We’re proud too that we are fulfilling our mission to help give a start to future marketing stars, with every one of The Digital Café graduates going on to secure impressive roles in great companies or continue to further their studies.
